ODI or One Day International is a most liked cricket format in which teams play for 50-50 overs.
In India, people follow cricket as religion. Children love to play it on the local ground. There are
many players who started their careers at an early age. Here is the list of some players who
started playing for their country at very young age in international cricket matches and make
the country proud.
Hasan Raza: Hasan Raza is a Pakistani cricketer who is one of the youngest cricket players of the
cricket world. He played first match against Zimbabwe at Quetta on 30th October 1996 at the
age of 14 years and 233 days. He has also captained the team in one series played in Abu Dhabi.
Gurdeep Singh: Gurdeep Singh plays for Kenya. He started his career at the age of 15 years and
258 days by playing a match against Afghanistan at Sharjah on 4th October 2013.
NR Kumar: NR Kumar or Nitish Roenick Kumar is a cricketer from Canada. He is a right-handed
batsman who also known for his off spin bowling. He was just 15 years and 273 days old when
he played his first match against Afghanistan at Sharjah on 18th February 2010. He has also
played under 19 world cup.
Aaqib Javad: Aaqib Javed, a former cricketer from Pakistan has played cricket matches as a
right-handed medium fast pace bowler. His first match was against west indies at Adelaide on
10th December 1988 which he has played at the age of 16 years and 127 days.
Yodhin Punja: Yodhin Punja U.A.E. cricketer who played his first ODI match against Hong Kong
in the ICC World cricket league championship Dubai on 16th November 2015 at the age of 16

Shahid Afridi: Shahid Afridi is a Pakistani cricketer who is known for his aggressive batting skills
and record as fastest ODI century in just 37 balls. He was 16 years and 215 days old when he
shows his talent in his first match was against Kenya in Nairobi (Aga) on 2nd October 1996. He
is an all-rounder who spinner and bats with the right hand. He has captained the Pakistan Team
Ramveer Rai: Ramveer Rai play for the U.A.E. He is a right-handed batsman and left-arm
orthodox style of bowling. At the age of 16 years and 229 days, he played his first match against
Sri Lanka at Dambulla on 17th July 2004.
Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar: Sachin Tendulkar is one of the greatest batsmen in the world. He
was just 16 years and 238 days old when he played his first match in ODI against Pakistan at
Gujranwala on 18th December 1989. He has many awards to his name.
Waqas Khan: Waqas Khan is a Hong Kong cricket player. He played first ODI match against
U.A.E in the ICC World Cricket League Championship Dubai on 18th November 2015 at the age
of 16 years and 253 days.
Mohammad Ashraful: He is a former Bangladeshi cricket player. He played first ODI at the age
of 16 years and 278 days against the Zimbabwe at Bulawayo on 11th April 2001.
